Believing in Jesus or Believing Jesus:
Part 1,
Part 2

Hanny Freiwat |
Aramaic Biblical Scholar and
Lecturer Hanny Freiwat carries us back almost two thousand years and
provides a clear perspective of Jesus in the light of his own language,
culture and times.
From his unique position as
a Palestinian-American, Hanny weaves the insights of his native
background with scholarly inquiry to help foster the understanding
necessary to allow the Bible to reclaim its relevance in our
contemporary lives.
A native speaker of Arabic,
Hanny is proficient in Aramaic exegesis, helping many class participants
understand how the Semitic context of culture, language, idioms,
symbolism, mystical style, psychology, and literary amplification are
essential to understanding this ancient spiritual document.

Hanny returns to the
original Aramaic language of Jesus, the prophets, and the original
Peshitta texts, to help his classes understand the culture in which
these words were spoken and these lives were lived. Through his
holistic, comprehensive approach Hanny clarifies a message that has been
locked behind millennia of misunderstanding and mistranslation.
Lecturer and scholar, Hanny Freiwat is successor
to the presidency of the Noorha Foundation (www.noohra.com),
a non-profit, non-sectarian spiritual-educational organization devoted
to helping people of all faiths understand the Near Eastern background
and Aramaic interpretation of the Bible. Hanny has studied for many
years with the Foundation’s originator, Dr. Rocco Errico, who in turn
studied with Dr. George Lamsa, world renowned Assyrian Biblical scholar,
and translator of the Lamsa Bible.
